Accessibility Declaration
Accessibility Statement for the Online Shop of DPI merchandising by DPI merchandising GmbH
1. Scope of this Statement
DPI merchandising GmbH is committed to making its
online shop accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility
Reinforcement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz - BFSG).
This accessibility statement applies to the online shop available at https://dpimerchandising.com/ ,
operated by:
DPI merchandising GmbH
Lochhamer Straße 9
82152 Planegg/Munich
Germany
2. Accessibility Status
Our website https://dpimerchandising.com/ has been designed to be accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.1 to ensure that our product offerings are usable by all individuals, regardless of ability or technical limitations.
The following accessibility features have been implemented:
- A clear semantic structure and logical reading order
- Support for text resizing
- Reflow capabilities across different screen sizes
- Customizable text spacing
- Access to hover content via keyboard and touch input
- Form assistance and guidance
- Clear error messages
- Special indication for the input of sensitive data
Despite our best efforts, certain accessibility issues may still occur. These include:
- Missing alternative text for some images or graphics
- Multimedia content that is not fully subtitled or audio-described
- Insufficient color contrast or lack of visual feedback
- Documents (e.g., PDFs) that are not fully accessible
2.1 Keyboard Navigation Limitations
At present, keyboard navigation is only partially supported. For example, some keyboard traps are still present on some pages and the bottom section of the homepage is not fully accessible via keyboard.
Currently supported keyboard commands:
- Select element: Spacebar
- Navigate to next element: Tab
- Exit element: Escape
- Navigate to previous element: Shift + Tab
Improving keyboard accessibility is part of our ongoing development. An upcoming update will significantly enhance keyboard navigation functionality.
2.2 Multimedia and Embedded Content
Currently, animated content and slider elements on the homepage cannot be paused or manually controlled.
Some parts of our offering include embedded video content hosted on third-party platforms such as YouTube. Where these videos are an integral part of our content, we strive to provide accessible versions—for example, with subtitles.
Please note that the accessibility of external platforms is beyond our direct control. Nevertheless, we make every effort to provide or link to accessible versions wherever possible.
DPI Merchandising GmbH is committed to continuously improving digital accessibility, following applicable legal requirements and established accessibility standards.
3. Content with Limited Accessibility Due to Economic or Licensing Constraints
Certain accessibility barriers cannot currently be eliminated due to economic unreasonableness or licensing limitations. These include:
• Audiovisual Content (e.g., Trailers, Film Clips)
Many video assets embedded in our shop—such as trailers, behind-the-scenes features, or film excerpts—are provided by external licensors and were often not originally produced with accessible versions (e.g., subtitles or audio descriptions).
Creating or acquiring accessible versions
retroactively often involves significant resource investment or is not
possible due to licensing restrictions.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee full accessibility for all video content
at this time.
However, new audiovisual content is licensed or supplemented with accessible alternatives whenever feasible.
• Historical Content
Some older content, created before current legal
accessibility requirements took effect, may not be fully accessible.
Retrofitting such content would require disproportionate effort.
We ensure that all newly created content complies with current
accessibility standards.
